Creating poppies for our Remembrance Day service

Class 1 have been very busy creating our Class 1 wreaths and individual poppies ready for our Remembrance Service next week. 
 

The children worked together to create our beautiful wreaths using red and purple handprints and discovered that red poppies are for the soldiers who died in the wars and the purple poppies are for any animals that died.

After the children created the hand print wreaths, they each made their own beautiful collage poppy and could choose what colour poppy to make. They all worked so carefully and we are looking forward to sharing them with you all next Tuesday in our Remembrance Service.
