DT - making carp kites
Today we started making carp kites. The children did a fantastic job sticking on all their scales!

What a brilliant first week Class 1 have had with our special visitor, Pig the Pug!
The children have been fantastic and showing Pig the Pug how to share and work together, as well as designing him some fantastic homes and snazzy collars.
Class 1 were also sad to hear how he had hurt himself…
Y3 - Creating 3d shapes
To finish our shape work, we made of own 3d shapes using tiny sticks and play doh. They were easier to describe when we were holding them in our hands!
Science-is it waterproof?
Today we explored materials to discover if they were waterproof. We made predictions based on our prior knowledge, then experimented to see if we were right or not!
Science investigation
We have set up a Science investigation to see how plants manage when we remove one of the conditions that they need to grow. We will observe the plants over the coming days to see what happens.
Times Tables
We have been active on the playground learning our times tables. Lots of great designs class 3!
Pre historic Britain
Our new History topic is The Stone Age. We have started by exploring new vocabulary and defining the words archaeologist, palaeontologist and geneticist. Their roles are vital to learn about pre historic Britain with so few artefacts remaining and no first hand written accounts.
Summer term 2 - new saint and school value
This half term we will be learning about a more recent saint; Saint Teresa. Our new value is ‘peace’ something Saint Teresa demonstrated so well, it earnt her the Nobel Peace Prize.
