Our new English text is a story set in another culture. So far we have made a prediction about what may happen using clues from the front cover and blurb, created a story mountain to tell the story and contrasted the English version with the Egyptian one. We are excited to read more next week.

Health related exercise
For our first PE lesson, we took our heart rate before exercise then after different types of exertion such as yoga, a jog and a sprint. We compared how it increased after some exercise and decreased after others and discussed why this was.
Recommended Read books
Class 3 should all have come home with a chapter book today. This is their ‘Recommended read’ book they have chosen to read for pleasure. Whenever they finish and return it, they are welcome to swap for another one.

We looked at photographs of artefacts from the Bronze Age today and found different ways to group them, such as by material, use or shape. We were able to figure out what each object was used for, who knew they used tweezers!
