Dance
This week during PE, we danced to songs we could do in unison, such as The Macarena, Cha Cha Slide and It's Time for Africa, before comparing with some older dance moves such as the Twist.

Computing
In computing this afternoon we have been learning all about grouping and labelling with a hands on activity.
Music
The children had a great time playing the glockenspiels today. They worked extremely hard and played their instruments beautifully.
Performing poetry
We enjoyed an immersive English lesson today as we delved into the world of performing arts. The children read their parts with fabulous expression, concentrating on volume and pace as well as some imaginative gestures!
Greenpower Session 1 - 2026
Today we have begun our Greenpower Racing project in DT. Our year 6 teams began dissembling the vehicles whilst the year 5 teams collaborated on a design for each car.
Sketching in Art and Design
We have started our new Art and Design unit on Sketching.
Today we experimented with creating effects using different techniques. We used a range of pencils to see what effect they made too.
Animals

We’ve had a lovely afternoon learning about Shrove Tuesday, indulging in pancakes and a few Valentine’s treats too.
Mixed class reading session
We’ve had a wonderful morning reading with Class 4. The children read together and shared in the joy of books!
Sequencing sounds
During computing time, we continued our work with ‘Scratch’. Today we sequenced sounds to match the movements of our characters. We added in sounds like the crowd cheering when a footballer scored a goal and waves and bubbles to match an under the sea scene.
