History-how school has changed

This afternoon we have been learning all about how school has changed since Victorian times.  We moved our desks to sit in rows and tried to imagine what it must have been like to be at school in those times.  The children squashed themselves on to two chairs to understand how it must have felt to be squashed up on benches.  They decided it would not have been easy to write sat like this!
