Building our models of playground equipment
The children worked extremely hard this afternoon making their models. They designed, selected appropriate materials and built them with little intervention. From seesaws to swings, slides, tunnels and monkey bars, their creations were fantastic!
Science- leaf classification
This afternoon we have been identifying leaves, labelling them and working out if they are evergreen or deciduous.

We’ve been discussing the sun and shadows today! It was the perfect afternoon to get outside and explore creating our own.
Mother’s Day afternoon 2026
What a wonderful afternoon celebrating all our lovely Mummies! Thank you to everyone that came to join in with our Mothering Sunday activities in the classroom. The children loved colouring their floral bouquets with you!
Spring walk
We had a lovely walk around the school grounds this afternoon, seeking out and recording signs of Spring!

We’ve been looking at playground equipment in DT and today the children made models of some of their favourites.
World Book Day!
It’s been wonderful to hear about the books that we all love! There’s been some fabulous costumes too!
Grouping and sorting
The children had fun learning about how computers group and count information today. They explored how sorting the items into groups made them much easier to count.
Ice experiment!
The children became scientists this afternoon, predicting and exploring ice and why it melts.
Computing
In computing this afternoon we have been learning all about grouping and labelling with a hands on activity.
Music
The children had a great time playing the glockenspiels today. They worked extremely hard and played their instruments beautifully.
Performing poetry
We enjoyed an immersive English lesson today as we delved into the world of performing arts. The children read their parts with fabulous expression, concentrating on volume and pace as well as some imaginative gestures!
