Waterproofing origami boats

We have been learning about the British designer Charles Macintosh and how he waterproofed material. We learnt how to origami fold paper boats and then we worked on waterproofing them. We had a range of materials like sticky tape, wax crayons and plastic wallets to choose from. Once we had waterproofed our paper boats, we tested them in the water. Some worked well, some did not. We reflected on our boats successes. We had lots of fun and have some expert origami folders in Class 3 now!
