In class 3’s ‘language’ lesson they enjoyed learning a few facts about the Chinese New Year and the animals that were chosen for the Chinese zodiac. They then created some springy snakes to represent the year of the snake.

Class 1 enjoyed creating natural dragon and lion masks, cooking up a storm in the Chinese mud kitchen, making new year fans, Chinese symbol mud writing and exploring our outside area.

RSPB Bird Watch
This afternoon we took part in the Big Bird watch, counting how many birds we saw in our school grounds and keeping a tally of which type of bird it was each time we spotted one. It made us think, what could we do to encourage more wildlife in our school?
