In class 3’s ‘language’ lesson they enjoyed learning a few facts about the Chinese New Year and the animals that were chosen for the Chinese zodiac. They then created some springy snakes to represent the year of the snake.

Class 1 enjoyed creating natural dragon and lion masks, cooking up a storm in the Chinese mud kitchen, making new year fans, Chinese symbol mud writing and exploring our outside area.

We got very muddy and had lots and lots of fun!

This afternoon we took part in the Big Bird watch, counting how many birds we saw in our school grounds and keeping a tally of which type of bird it was each time we spotted one. It made us think, what could we do to encourage more wildlife in our school? 
 

Today we spent some time in our lovely school grounds spotting birds and recording our findings. We also spotted a lovely sign of Spring - snowdrops! 

We had a great morning at Stafford Fire Station learning how to stay safe.

It was a very rainy Thursday this week but that doesn’t stop us!

With wellies on and our hoods up we made sure that our birds have lots to nibble on for the week ahead.
