Class 1 Fun in the Snow

This morning, everyone in Class 1 got ready in their suits and wellies for some fun in the snow.  The children had great fun exploring the snow and frozen water together, with some children choosing to make snowmen or just some fab snowballs. 

We all then had fun working together on our subtraction skills. We sang the rhyme ‘10 colourful bottles sitting on a wall’ and took it in turns to throw a snowball to knock one bottle down. In our groups, we then said the subtraction number sentence to find the new total number of bottles sitting on the wall. All the children had such fun aiming the snowball at the bottles and were brilliant at taking it in turns to throw the snowball.
