Subtraction Number Hunt

In our active maths session this afternoon, we have had such fun going on a subtraction number hunt in our outdoor classroom. The children looked around the outside classroom and discovered the hiding places of various subtraction number sentences - some had hidden themselves incredibly well!

Once they had found a number sentence, the children read it aloud to a friend or one of their teachers and then used various natural resources such as sticks and pine cones to help calculate the answer. Everyone worked incredibly hard to keep finding and solving the subtraction number sentences until we had no more left to find. Amazing subtraction work Class 1!
