When Class 1 arrived into school this morning, they all spotted something different on our number line. Our number 1 had been replaced by an elf!
The elf had written a letter to introduce themselves and set the children a challenge to name them as at the moment the elf was only known by their elf number, which is very long and tricky to remember.
The children all spent some time talking to their friends about their ideas for an elf name and we wrote them on our board. It was so hard to decide that we thought the fairest way was to put all the names into a pot and our star of the day was chosen to pull out a name.
The children are really pleased with the name we have chosen for our elf and can’t wait to tell you!
