As part of our RE learning this term, we are thinking about what happens in a church. Today, we talked about how we are so lucky to have our church, St Stephen’s next to our school and what it means to be part of such a special community. We had a great time thinking about all the different times we have been in church for different celebrations like Christmas and Easter and spoke about what we like about going to church.
We then looked at some pictures of church buildings and then walked to church to look at the distinctive features of St Stephen’s. We enjoyed looking at the different shaped windows and doors of the church and spotting where the bell tower was.
Once we were back in class, we all drew our own fabulous drawings of our church and identified any key features such as a cross, the bell tower and windows. We hope you enjoy seeing them. We are so proud of our artistic talents!
