In music we have been listening to the Dr Who soundtrack and making our own scores.

In our music mindfulness session after lunch today, Class 1 used scarves to perform a lovely movement activity to Vivaldi’s winter piece from his Four Seasons suite. All the children really enjoyed using the scarves and following the actions with both their bodies and and their scarves.

Our new History topic is The Romans. Today we completed a scavenger hunt around the classroom to gather facts about what the Roman soldiers used to wear and how it to helped to protect them.

We’ve started our new P.E unit here in class 2 and the children are already having lots of fun getting stuck in!

This year in class 2 the children wrote a very special letter to Santa explaining why they should be in his good list this year.

We have really enjoyed making our fairground rides and they look great.

Class 2 made some wonderful Christingles this year and enjoyed the service at St Stephen’s church in preparation for Christmas.

Class 1 had such a fun time this afternoon tackling a Christmas themed obstacle course and worked brilliantly in their house teams across the different obstacles to collect presents for Santa.

Thank you Mrs Castell for setting up such a brilliant obstacle course! We all loved it!
