What amazing efforts all the children made with their World Book Day outfits. They all looked fantastic and were incredibly proud to show their outfits to the whole of the school during our special World Book Day Worship this morning. 5ank you for all your efforts and help with their costumes. It was incredibly difficult to chose who should get the class prize but congratulations to Harriet for her fantastic costume from the story The Scarecrow’s Wedding!
Later today we had a special circle time where we talked about which stories we love to share with our families at home. Julia Donaldson books were very popular with Tommy, Arthur and Faith all choosing Superworm, Harriett choosing Tiddler and Olivia choosing The Gruffalo. The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Twits and Thomas the Tank Engine were all mentioned too, along with Ten Minutes to Bedtime Unicorn. It’s so lovely to hear the children talk so enthusiastically about their favourite books and to hear about some books that were new to us. The children may enjoy a trip to the library to find some of these new stories!
As an extra treat for World Book day, our Prayer Partners came to read to us this afternoon before worship. We all enjoyed sharing stories together and spending time together.
