Today in RE we found out about Good Friday and why it is a special day for Christians. We listened to the Good Friday story and found it sad that Jesus died on a cross. We discovered that hot cross buns are traditionally eaten on Good Friday and they have a cross on top to help us remember that Jesus died on a cross. We also thought that the round shape of the hot cross bun looked like the stone that went in front of Jesus’ tomb.
After finding out about Good Friday and hot cross buns, we all had the opportunity to try a hot cross buns. Most of us really enjoyed the taste, but a couple of us were not sure! Can you guess from the photos who did not like the hot cross buns!
