Dear Zoo
Class 2 have been using Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell for inspiration in their English lessons this week. They have been showcasing their fantastic vocabulary skills writing some wonderfully descriptive sentences about the animals in the text.
Science - recycled boats
Today we got to test our boats that we made earlier this week. We’ve been reading Nelson’s Dangerous Dive and learning all about plastic pollution and the importance of looking after our planet. We made egg box boats and tested how many people they could carry before the capsized and sank!

Here in class 2 we love to be creative and explore new things.
This term are exploring colour and collage.
The children spent time drawing a bird, then using different colours from newspapers and magazines, created beautifully bright collages.

Summer has officially arrived here in class 2!
It was so hot here at Anson on Thursday that we decided to take some time to relax and chill out… literally, with our feet in some lovely, cooling water!

Here in class 2 we love Monster phonics.
We always start our lessons with a quick recap of the graphemes we already know, followed by the introduction of our new focus grapheme for that lesson.
