Seasons in science
We are learning all about seasonal changes in science here in class 2
Todays exploration was surrounding the season spring so we had a little learning walk around our beautiful gardens here at Anson to see if we could spot signs of spring.
Our prayer wall
Today in RE Class 2 explored what is in a prayer.
We looked at why we pray, who we pray to, how we pray, where we pray and what prayer means to Christian’s.
Once we had explored prayer we then wrote our own prayers to pop up on our very own prayer wall within our classroom.
Biscuits!
This term for design and technology the children here in class 2 are exploring picnics!
Today the children had the opportunity to make their very own biscuits for their picnics by following a set of instructions.
It was lots of fun (and a very yummy lesson!)
Active maths in the spring sunshine
Every Friday here in class 2 the children get to engage in some fun active maths. Today year 2 popped outside to practice their fractions whilst pre teaching themselves ahead of their next maths unit… time!
V E Day 2025
We had a wonderful time here in class 2 celebrating the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
We all wore something red, white, or blue, made Union Jack pinwheels and spent time with our friends playing games in the hall.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit!
Class 2 have kicked started the summer term 1 with their new English focus based on The Tale of Peter Rabbit.
Today the children explored new vocabulary within the book and developed their understanding of the text, which was written and published over 100 years ago!
Courageous advocacy.
One of our wonderful children here in Class 2 has planned to have her hair cut in aid of the Little Princess Trust, who make specialist wigs for people who have lost their hair due to illness.
