Christingle making in Class 3
This afternoon we made Christingles ready for our service in Church tomorrow. It linked nicely to our RE lesson, which was learning about the symbolism of the items used on the Christingle.
Active maths, multiples of 2
Year 3 braved the frosty weather for Maths today! They were recognising multiples of 2, completing a series of counting tasks and missing number activities outside.
5 reads raffle winner
It was a bumper week for reading, with 12 children entered into the raffle! Well done to this weeks winner.
Jumble sale bargains
The children all chose something new at the Jumble sale today. Thank you parents for the many donations and to the Eco and School council members who helped to organise it all. All funds raised will go towards resources for our outdoor classroom.
3d Pudsey pictures
Class 3 created some beautiful 3d Pudsey artwork today. We also revisited the ‘Power for good’ chart we put up as part of anti-bullying week, look at how many kind things we have done this week!

Throwing and catching skills in PE
Today we practised our bowling skills, comparing over arm and under arm bowls. We also perfected our catching skills, thinking about the position of our feet and hands so we can be ready to move quickly in any direction to catch.
Poster competition
This afternoon, each child designed a poster to promote the village Christmas Lights Switch on happening at the end of November. Three local schools entered and the winners will be announced in due course, but here are Class 3’s entries.
Pyjama day
The whole school enjoyed coming to school in their pyjamas today. As an extra treat, we developed our teamwork skills by playing games with the parachute. In the afternoon we enjoyed snacks and a film. What a fun end to a wonderful first half term, Class 3 have worked so hard for the last 8 weeks…
